Door speakers 6.5".....really?

From everything I've read the door speakers on the 8G is 6.5" right? So how is it that my aftermarket 6.5" speakers (jbl)are way smaller than the opening on the door?

If you changed you speaker post up how you did it & pics too please.

put wide washers on the 4 mounting screws. That will at least hold them in place.

The 8G has ALWAYS been 6.75" NOT 6.5".

Yup yup, 6.75 always.

Skyline, go to your local audio install place, and you can get 6.5 to 6.75 plastic mounting adapters :)

Get an adapter that allows you to insert 6.5 speakers in the 6.75 slots
