View Full Version : Carbon Fiber Everywhere!!!

So this is what I have been messing with the last 2 nights..... sorry for the iphone pics

The fit of the rears isnt perfect yet, I need to do a little trimming/adjusting and then I will put those rubber weatherstrips on them like the fender flares have this way it will sit even.

I still gotta put the fronts on, maybe saturday or sunday that can happen. I am also strongly considering mixing up the wheels and either getting rid of them all together or changing the color and adding some 10mm spacers.

damn... looking good Brian. i have a few things to do in the morning on sat this week not to mention i still have to get mine running. for the meet. currently it still is idleing like shit and stalling still. so depending on how long that takes i will let you know. i will try to get everything situated early though and try to give you a hand on the fronts...sunday is def out for this week though.

They look like they fit awesome, though I think they would look better colormatched, I might just need full car pics though.

On a serious note-That looks hopt as shit Brian. I would deff not color match it at all.

looks great! do not color match... if you leave it raw it will look like a carbon fiber SUPER VR4! very nice! for those of you that have never seen a SUPER VR4 here you go:

the super VR4 only came in red/black and silver/black, both had black/red interiors.

notice the headlights are colormatched and the whole lip kit is BLACK (as well as the door guards). it would be dope if all the black parts were CF, and that's how STEWI's car will look!

Ok a little update, more work done today. I got the front SuperVR4 extension to fit pretty well, it just took a little patience. The rears still fit well but I dont have any more "OEM" rubber weatherstrip things left for those, I found some from a 08 Toyota Sequioa (sp?) they fit OK but arent right. I am just getting it together for the meet, in about a month or two im gonna have all the CF stuff clear coated, when I do that I will get more OEM weatherstrips and do it up proper. For now the driver side is done and the passenger side will be done tomorrow.

i was going to say, i think ur car gets out as much as mine and VEGASMATT's (he's actually worse than both of us... his car didn't leave his driveway for 2-3 years and when it did it went straight to the shop for body and engine work). there is a point where things become so extreme that daily driving becomes wasteful and i think your car is turning out so nice that it deserves to be run only sparingly, like drinking expensive wine once in a while, not every day.

I'm in the same boat as VegasMatt and Reelax, taking the galant out to the meet Sunday, will be the 1st time it is out of my dad's garage in almost a year.

lol i hear that. i took it out maybee once or twice since the edgewater meet. ive been working on it some and been taking it out for a little spin here and there. but tomorrow will be the first time in a long time im taking it anywhere.

i have my own internet marketing company so i don't have to go to an office everyday or i could work from anywhere at anytime; i've done a week's work from my phone while in another country multiple times. sometimes i miss an office full of co-wokers but then there's times where i can work in my shorts at the beach and i don't miss it so much. part of the reason i don't drive my car often is because i don't even drive every day anymore.
