I have an 02 Galant ES 2.4. Wife went to car after work and started. (Light Rain/Humid outside) The wipers would not turn on and the AC and the blower would not work either. She drove it home and it was about 45 minutes before I could check for fuses.

I checked the fuses and they were fine. I started the car and everything worked fine and has for 2 days so far. Another time the AC would not work but the blower worked fine. On the next start up it worked fine again and have not had another problem.

I'm wondering if it has something to do with the main computer ECU but from what I can find, these would not be symptons of one going out.

1. Could it be the ECU when it acts like this?

2. Wiring or wiring harness?

I know I should be happy that it's working fine but I'd hate to be in a Central Illinois thunderstorm and the wipers quit! Any ideas?

Thanks In Advance
Chuck

No clue, One time I had the front of my car on jacks and for some reason my pump was also not working. A month or so before i only had one of the things spraying onto the window and I had to get a pin to unclog the line. But this time I was just let it go turned the car off and came back to it about and hour later and it was fine. Strange, cause before I could not even hear the pump trying to spray but it worked fine after waiting.

Typically the ECU would create many more little (or major) problems than just the wipers and blower motor not working. Typically this is either a grounding or relay issue. My suggestion is check the fuses and relays first. Then try to track the ground wires for the blower, and the wipers and see if you can find any loose connections, and frayed or broken wires.
