hey, i have a 2000 galant, and i want a new muffler for it. the problem is, i dont wanna hear it all the time, just when im really steping on the pedal. are there any mufflers out there that have a deep tone, that will give me what im looking for?

the magnaflow race version sounds a little raspy on the i4. that's why everyone recommended the street version for the i4... the v6 is smoother sounding by virtue of having more cylinders so the race version sounds better on it, the street version will also work on the v6 but is very muted.

I have the street series on my 3.5L and it's very tame... I think. It sounds pretty cool with the 5-speed though. And I've never heard it outside of the car, so I really couldn't tell you how loud it actually is or not.

Actually no I have heard it ONCE. I had to let a valet guy park my car (which I was very nervous about), but it was in an underground parking structure, so it doesn't count. It did sound niceeeee, but I don't know what to compare it to "loud-ness" wise cause I never heard any other car in that garage. (we got there early)

they're not $200. Go on ebay and look for the right size muffler. Like someone said above, you need a 2.25" inlet.
