Hey, anyone had experience with this stuff?:

http://www.simplyspray.com/upholstery.html

I wanna get my 3g seats to match my rears, this might be a good option if it's any good. i've heard the duplicolor fabric paint cracks.

EDIT:

Seems impressive... kinda skeptical.

if its anything like any other fabric and vinyl paint your fabric is going to feel like sandpaper. I cleaned the hell out of all my vinyl and the paint peels right off so I'd just leave it alone but thats me. I've never tried it on leather though so who knows.

I was afraid of that :P

How much would it run me to get my 3g front seats rewrapped to match the rear seat, which is the stock gray cloth? You guys have an estimate?

The reason that it felt like sandpaper is because you did not do it right. As you paint you should be rubbing it into the material. Just look at the vid on the site & you will see that guy rubbing the paint into the seat.

I'm interested. I'd like to do something that won't cost so much to redo my seats with.

Yeah I actually PM'd him, he said he's had no problems, but I remember another member saying the duplicolor stuff cracked like mad. I live in AZ so I think drying out would be a real issue.

I just picked up a can for my cloth seats. I'll let you know how it turns out.

sorry it took so long to get pics up. I used the 'paint it black':

this is what I got

It's still pretty soft, but it's not super black, more like a dark charcoal gray. The 'paint it black' stuff is more for making faded black clothes darker though so maybe the black fabric paint ( http://www.simplyspray.com/upholstery.html ) would make it a little darker.
Only disappointment was I used most of the can on just this one panel.

You have to apply more coats, I did my back seat with some fabric spray from my local auto parts store. Took me like 4-5 cans to do... Feels rough but its black. Temporary fix for me til I do my rear seat in black leather.

I just used Duplicolor fabric and vinyl spray for about $6 or $7 a can and painted all of my fabric charcoal. Picked it up from Advanced Auto. It almost resembles suede now. It was a little rough for the first couple of days but it smoothed considerably, although it will never feel stock. You have to apply a pretty good amount to get your desired look, otherwise, you'll have splotches of light and dark. Keep in mind that the color may fade due to wear in due time, just respray.
