Sohc hp

I have a 00 2.4 G that I can't get rid unless push it into a ditch and burn it......I am bout to come into 2 to 3 grand and I look to get about 200 to 300hp on sohc heads is it possible. Dohc is too much work and nobody want to give all the info. Turbo is only option but will the stock heads and pistons handle excessive boost.

reasonable boost? yes.
excessive? no.

13 lbs iirc is what member qnz has been on for a while and he is at 264 whp (i think)

You dont want to blow that money all at once bc what happens when something goes wrong, than you need more money to fix the problem you know?
