I took off the exhaust manifold because it had a crack between it and the cat. I then discovered the manifold itself had a hair crack in it. So, I welded them back to normal. I also had all the belts replaced by some one else ( because they offered to do it super cheap and I was working so much I seriously didn't have the time). I am unsure if they lined up the oil pully with the correct marking on the engine block. I am getting a really fast flickering oil light. So, I'm attempting to see if there is an issue here before I buy a new oil pressure sensor.

The picture says it all, why is cylinder 1 black and oily looking, while 2,3,4, are dry and brown? Is there a problem, or is this normal?

The oil light only flickers at idle, it stops when you give it gas. Could be a faulty ops? But why does cylinder 1 have blackness?

A black chamber is usually a rich condition meaning bad spray or drip from injectors and/or dirty/weak spark. I would suspect a dirty or bad injector. Chevron Techron concentrate is one of the few injector cleaners that actually work, pour 20oz in tank fill it with fuel and drive it like you stole it. Also if you haven't tuned it in a while that could help.

X2. Fuel injectors clenner. Bro that should be one of your tune-ups. I do it every 6 months. Big different, it helps save your pistons and injectors also your gas lines. This is what I use:

x2. Also Autozone and Walt Mart. It comes with two bottles. One is for the Fuel and the other one is for the engine oil.

143,000 miles, the engine is so dirty because the exhaust was cracked. I also got a burnt smell today when I was mashing the gas. The whole cabin smelled of burnt plastic.

After I got the car back from the dude that did the belts my A/C fan started going out. I checked out the fan speed switch first, the white plastic connector was melted on all sides. So i scraped the burnt crud off the terminals and put it back on, it was an instant fix and I haven't had a problem with it since. However I am getting the burnt smell. Apparently via the timing belt dude, when he started the car after doing the belts random warning lights were coming on and the master fuse on the + terminal fried.

I never had a problem with this car before this.
