lol @ posting in the 9g section. looks good though man. for the record tho, most people would consider that "blacked out" not "smoked". "smoking" the tail lights usually implies lighter tint where the lenses are still mostly visible, just darkened, as though looking through... you guessed it: smoke. lol. its all semantics though. again, good work either way, looks nice.

i have smoked 3rd gen jdm's. if you decide to go the jdm route, you should look into it. the car looks pretty good though, the taillights do seem a bit dark though.

i like the way it carries all the way across the trunk on the real 9g. is that a lancer spoiler? it gives the car a very unique look

It is a Lancer spoiler that I cut 4 inches out of the center. I also added about 1/2" to the legs so I could reshape them to match the profile of the trunk.

That 9g is nice.... not a big fan of em though but lovin the work put into that one.

As for the 8g, cant you just wet sand it to take the tint off & redo do it lighter.... will be waiting for pics.

already lighter i used laquer tinner took it all off in like 5 minutes and only used 1 coat and a clear

It's nice until you start to have close calls with people almost rear ending you. As far as work, you did a great job. I had mine blacked out and yes they looked sweet but I chose functionality over looks. I don't want my rear end messed up.

This is true but mine still show red very well. You can see how bright they are when the tailelights are on and you can see how bright they get when the strobes hit. Here is a video.

i had to redo them u couldnt see um until u were on top of um i deff. would have had that problem lol nd i prolly would have killed the person that rear ended me lol
