WHat is this connection for?

Today while putting a new thermostat in I noticed a little socket, I chased the cable behind it and it went inside the transmission [i think]. I also tried to look for the male connector, and found nothing.

What do you think it is?

Looks like the connector for the knock sensor.

I saw that when I was doing the swap as well. Had no idea what it was for. lol Theres nothing on the harness that responds to it. If that is the knock sensor connector then this will make it easier to install a knock light, for anyone who is interested in boosting the 4G64.

Not sure if it is, but that's exactly what the knock sensor connector looks like on the V6.

yea when i had the head off mine i looked and it looks a hell of a lot like a knock sensor....hmm maybe ill put the evo 8 one in there for my ecu...
