I'm planning to change my OEM cold intake soon. Does anyone know if the ones found in ebay are good, bad, or ok. Will it mess up my car ? Thanks for the help.

There pretty much ok..but cheaply made. Gave me a louder rumble under full throttle an its noticable when u hit the throttle.

the cheap MAF adapters you get will crack...but the actually pipe never cracked. I had a big bolt rub a small hole in it over a 6 month period. but i ended up getn metal adapter at autozone an then a 4inch filter. and fixed the hole.

I plan on getting a cai for the v6 but haven't gotten around to it but IMO I wouldn't get a cheap one. If your gonna buy it then buy it once feel me...

I have a Ebay Pipe with a K&N filter and have never had any problems, a pipe is a pipe, its just how creative can get with mounting it and making sure it doesn't move around and what not...

True but theres always the auto zone pipe for like $40 n a $25 Spectre filter had it on my civic back in 03 never had an issue. But I would weld some mounting brackets on it or something so it doesn't move around...

I have one in my car... It works great. I just had to get a "bracket" fabricated to hold it up, otherwise it's fine. You just need bolts. Can post pics if needed.

Get him a pic so he could see. If you want to try it get it from ebay, but dont get to attach to it. If you like it and it works for you get a good name brand such as injen or AEM.

Just spend the extra money and get a quality one. Injen is good.

Currently have an ebay CAI with K&N Filter for 1.5 years. No Problems, I used wire tie to hold it up.

Not sure about the aftermarket but the OEM the boxes are different theres a thing at the end of the box that the v6 doesnt have.

Great job on the custom bracket. People you need this bracket to hold it down. Dont let it hanging because it will bend the rubber intake that goes to the tb causing air to be blocked.
