Here are some pictures of my G... Any good, cheap ideas?

I think i'm going for more of a clean, different kinda look.

Up next for me is:
Window tinting
Blackout taillights
AVS Visors

Cheap and good usually don't go hand in hand. What's your price range?

DTP

$100-200 for right now... commuting to and from class is killer

take off the emblems on the trunk besides the diamonds, and the pinstripes = free ;)

cheap and VIP definitely are not compatible. true VIP wheels and suspension will cost more than your car and cheap substitutes are the opposite of VIP.

first free mod would be to de-pinstripe then debadge the trunk and leave only the triple diamond... looks much cleaner:

and lose stickers like the one on your back window.

Clear your corners, do the finless grille mod, or paint the housing of your headlights black i guess. Why don't you save that money and keep throwing in a bit at a time and do something worthwhile that you'll really enjoy.

200$ for tint is actually expensive as shit where im from, thats a complete rip. I know everywhere you go has a different price. I had my tint done professionally by a well known shop here in Houston, its a 3m tint so its not the cheap shit, and it has a lifetime warranty. I paid around 140$. Even that is expensive around this area, but i wanted it done right. Some shops charge as cheap as 75$

The VIP look is further down the road... My goal, per say. Yeah, the stickers have been aggravating me lately. How do I debadge?

From what i've read on here is to use fishing line/floss/wires and go behind the emblems/badges without getting too close to the body. Another is heat gun/blowdryer to make it hot and run those floss/wires etc behind it. After that wash clean and wax i believe.

You can use fishing line to get the emblems off. Use an id or something to get the left over glue off.

So since i last posted (mainly this past weekend), i have done the following:

Cleared cluster needles (then painted them), blue lights
Debadged/destickered rear window <-- looks clean
Drilled/slotted rotors with ceramic pads
Blue leds in the map/dome lights

And i'm about to switch to a 7G shifter knob... Will post pictures when done.

What should i do next?

@joegalant: yeah they are. you put them UNDER the actual housing. you take the heads off, and there is a "lip" i guess you could say that you can put them on

@midnightbear: what else should i do to pull them off?

@Malcriaoxx: what kinda lip?

@o1naturalhigh: What's the best way to get them off?

Pictures up soon... Uploading to photobucket now

dont go crazy with the stickers, too many stickers=ricer. that being said most put it on the trunk next to the plates, but it kinda ruins the debadge and desticker job you just did.

o1naturalhigh
09-29-2010, 03:59 PM
all i did was peel them off, wash the car, wax, and the glue parts that didn't come off, i used the inside of my shirt and rubbed it off. lol

I'm getting LED swtichbacks and a custom box built for my trunk so that the subs sit flush against the back seat... And boy do they hit.

The subs are 2 Kicker Comp12's powered by a MTX Jackhammer JH600

What do you guys think?
