View Full Version : I gots 3 wheel steering!

So first issue with the 9g since bought her new in 04.

On my right rear wheels, when i hit a mid bump on the road, the car's rear turns right which makes the car turn left.

I looked under the car yesterday but everything seems solid which makes me believe its the shock that needs to be replaced. Well it is overdue so ill replace them anyways.

Im just trying to figure out if the shock would really cause that jerk/turn the rear.

Any inputs?

doers the back end feel like it jumps right or left, like skipping a little sideways? if so, rear alignment is out... possibly toe. it happens often after lowering , which slightly changes static suspension geometry for available travel, especially if a rear damper is blown. get alignment checked.

Yeah. Its ok when driving in smooth surface but turns when i hit a bump. Its really due for an alignment also since i never got one done ever and replaced the springs like 4 times.

Btw, my rear work springs are sagging like it did with the sprint springs. Boo

yeah get an alignment. really u should have an alignment done everytime you mess w/ the suspension.

yeah mine does that over bumps, but i never got an alingment after my drop, i go through a set of rear tires every 2-3 months it sucks

an alignment would be much cheaper.

was it like that once you dropped your car or just happened recently?

Mine just started a couple of weeks ago and i drive the car hard. now, its super bad that its almost dangerous

Paul, replace the shocks and get an aligmentment. Similar thing happend with my 8g.

no i found out a week before they were closing on dcevoclub. now i lose my club3si discount which is even more than the already low discounted online price.
