Has anyone ever tried to do this on a Galant? I'm just curious.

its just like the trunk mod but with the hood. not my thing though. its pretty much pointless for me. but yea anyways my hood is way too heavy for tryna lift it like tthat...

I'll eventually get to doing the trunk mod. I guess the Eclipse hood is lighter than the Galant hood.

my bro did that to his car ghetto style. all you have to do is unbolt the 2 bolt's and the let the hood sit on the hydolic lift's and have another support for the front.

one of the guys in my old car club has it. first glance...dont do it, but the way he has it, he can actually put it into different positions

I dunno, it still looks kinda goofy to me because our hoods are so big. I wouldn't mind having the Corvette mod so my hood hinges from the front though, I like that look. Just my 2 cents.

Chip thats they same way i want my hood to look, just like the Vettes, because i wouldnt keep hittin my head on it when i work on my car....

Exactly the problem I've got Shane. :laughing: If I see the mod for a Galant, I'll let you know, maybe we can split the cost.
