Blinking CEL

OK so, one of you Evo ecu running guys should know what this means, but when i start getting into boost the CEL light starts blinking, and no one say its a misfire, because it does it every time and steady and no hesitation

a blink every second while under load and then the light goes out and no hesitation backfire or anything

is it set to indicate knock? if its then you get knock under boost

Sounds like you are running a ROM file with Knock on CEL feature possibly. What ROM file or patch did you put into the ECU, or was there one flashed to the ECU from who you purchased it from?

The Knock on CEL feature is pretty good for tuning, and when it illuminates the CEL it is basically telling you there is Knock present. I would go into EcuFlash and see what the settings are at for the Knock on Cell, and monitor that so you can work out the knock in those specific load/RPM ranges.

oh OK i see, that's probably whats going on, i flashed it with another ROM file someone sent me a while back to get the immobilizer gone, i don't think its actually knocking, its probably reading other noises in the same frequency range, i was trying to hook up my Tactrix cable 2.0 but it doesn't work, like its looking for the wrong com port or something, kinda getting me aggravated and all the usb ports but 1 on this shit laptop works, anyone have that problem?
