FWD cars or cars that use FWD offset aka 35-45ish are considered High offset wheels of which the Galant and SC400 use.

You now have medium offset(20-34) on the high offset cars and then there is low offset(0-19)

Most newer BMWs use medium offsets, my old bimmer had high and my old montero had low. I know my wheels :)

I really don't get why everyone hates on stretched tires. They are stretched to hell and back on drift cars making waaaay more power and never have a problem. It's all about how it's done. Nothing wrong with looking good and being functional for what you do.

So after messing with the coilovers and their crumby ability to drop where i need up front as well as fighting rusted bolts since i havent touched the coils in a LONG time i did some adjusting and removal of a locking disc on the megans and dropped the preload from where i had it which resulted in a new drop up front. I cant fit a finger in up front unless i go at an angle. I'm happy with the front for now. I didnt even get to tackle the rear since the front was a battle in itself. I also installed the adjustable swaybar endlinks i had sitting around since i knew i was going to be dropping the front.
It gets dark super early now so the pics didnt come out all that great. :( I'll take better ones so you can see where i am at, and i will take some straight side shots

Fitment is on-point dude! I would love to get the same look with mine, except with sixteens. I need new coilovers though. The Teins wont drop me any lower than I am without becoming a hard parker.

just from reading the charts, it looks like you have alot of room to advance still,its making more torque than HP throughout most of the powerband. the AFR looks like it could be smoothed abit too. Are you tuning off a EVO ecu or piggyback??

I had an mhi 16g, then an mhi evo3 16g, then the 6052. i prefer this turbo by far. Its a fast spooler already at 2800 im at 5lbs then at 3k im at almost 10 from what i saw today.
When i build this block and do the head swap it will get plenty of use and i'll need that 6052.

Tune for reliable power, I wouldn't push it even up to 300hp, but that is me. Keep the car running.

I totally agree. i believe 300 is very attainable though with some tweaking here and there, but im not going to over extend the block though. I want to be able to drive it. It obviously has a preference/bias towards torque either way im going to enjoy the car regardless of number output :)

One thing to keep in mind is that i chose a 2.5" custom turboback not 3". I myself am more biased toward torque in which is reflected in my cars performance. people get exhaust size vs hp messed up a lot. if you do the math and make the chart 2.5" single exhaust will put you right at 300 hp at the crank. the threshold of that usable diameter. 3" single will land you at 400 crank also the typical threshold for that diameter.

once built then i will up the exhaust diameter. i figured no point in losing that neck whipping torque to try and reach a hp goal i will surpass when i am ready to rip it apart and build it. Also i dont need a 400whp car right out the gate. Good foundations lead to success.

I realize most people cant convert the numbers they see to the feel when driving it. 300 hp to the wheels is a lot. 300 wtq is a lot. i was stomping evos and subies and porsches and keeping up with 400 crank hp 300c's untuned. which i dont know what the untuned numbers were but the torque has raised SIGNIFICANTLY! Seriously think about it. I have the whp of Bj's built 3.5L v6 and 50 more wtq with two less cylinders and 1.1L less displacement. AND that will rise O_o

was reading over my thread and realized i never told you guys that i made those numbers on a dynomite dyno if you didnt read the above portion of the picture i took of the graph.
Mustang/Superflow/Dynomite are all load bearing dynos aka "heart breaker" dynos. They report numbers lower than the "industry standard" dynojet numbers.

I specifically sought out a load bearing dyno because they are better for tuning with the right tuner imho :)

also some information about where i went and the elevation

So due to my stupidity my car wont run with my lights on -____-
A parking light went out and i pulled the fuse and it looked fine fun it still left it out. turned the car on and moved it pulled it over and checked to make sure the park light was still off then put the wrong bloody fuse in (a 10 instead of a 7.5) WHILE THE CAR WAS ON! stupid! stupid! stupid! Never did that before and i dont know how i did it that time without thinking. So now im throwing a p0123 throttle position sensor/ swith a circuit high input.

A code P0123 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:

* TPS not mounted securely
* TPS circuit short to ground or another wire
* Faulty TPS
* Damaged computer (PCM)

Fawk.

Turn the lights on and it instantly runs on 2 cylinders. And i started killing coilpacks left and right while having the car on the barely 5 minutes and idling. I pulled up the emanage software and oh guess what? my emanage is locked by the tuner. I became livid. Said goodbye to my $180 for tuning and wiped the emanage clean so i wouldnt be blowing coilpacks left and right. I'm ditching the emanage and going another route. Its going to be up for sale soon along with the boomslang harness for plug and play to the stock ecu. Its an awesome solution if you just want to run low boost and leave it at that.
Thank goodness there is light at the end of the tunnel and Matt is going to be helping me sort it out and she'll be back up and running here in a little bit. :)

So after much BS and fighting and almost towing it to mitsubishi i took it back home and did some critical thinking and figured it was the TPS that was seriously just going bad. went to the yard today with Blackheart and got some stuff........again after much trial and tribulation LOL
Had the new tps and was going to go put it it and first thing i do is go to undo the bolts that hold the tb cable and what do i see? no effing ground cable.......WTF? how could i forget to connect the ground cable? seriously.....ever since i STARTED tearing into my car i have never forgotten ONCE to hook up the ground on the throttle cable bolt. OH WAIT.....I didnt forget at all. The tuning shop un bolted them and left them that way.....ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

So guess what? no more. I'm doing my tuning from now on. I'll go dyno when i want numbers and make adjustments where needed and tune it for how i want it setup! Matt and I are doubling up on this and gonna make some numbers!

They were freaking tards and didnt line it up properly. its not fully straight and that sort of thing annoys me. AND they only put one hanger on the muffler.....IDIOTS so it sways and hits my bumper. GAWD i hate not being able to watch these idiots cause i have to go to work. Going back monday and making them fix it ALL.

Letter i wrote to the corporate office. they have no idea who they just gave half assed work. I wont stop until i get every dime back. so pissed right now its not even funny. I refuse to make a scene in the store because i deal with that everyday and it gets nowhere. However i WILL DEMOLISH their reputation, I WILL tell everyone under the SUN about their HORRIBLE work. I WILL make their life a living HELL until I get vindication!


"I am PISSED! brought in my $250 muffler to get put on my custom system pay $190 and get CRAP back! I asked for it to be put on a certain way and for it to look a certain way. Come back and it is not done anywhere CLOSE to where i asked it. I try and get over it when i pick it up and drive it to work and home and i hear knocking. the muffler is hitting my bumper. OK. stuff happens no biggie. I get hom look at it and see and UGLY weld along the side of my muffler that is visible a mile away. seriously? SERIOUSLY? I take it back in bright and early monday after living with the obnoxious knocking all of sunday and try to tell the man behind the counter what is going on and HE SHRUGS ME OFF! like im picky or something? REALLY?? I bring in my expensive sport muffler you jack it up and do a half done job on my car and im being PICKY? the welder was coming it at 8:30 I sit and wait patiently for an hour while he comes in. I see them pull in my car. ok. i expect them to bring me in so i can tell the welder whats going on and what i wanted it to look like. nothing. I hear them tell him about the bumper and how it was hitting? ok what about how i wanted it to look? I ring the bell and get a person to come out and ask if i can go in the back to tell the welder whats going on. i go in and wait at my car for about five minutes as the welder comes up and says ok so ill weld another hanger in the back and should stop the side to side motion and should be thirty minutes or so. I say ok great thanks but there were a few more things i noticed. it was off center, it wasnt done the way i asked or you mocked up and the hanger was welded so everyone could see and was sloppily placed on the mufflers original weld. I then told him about how another store in arkansas took my other car and the same muffler and lined the hanger along the side so it wasnt visible at least. What does he do? look at me like im being picky and say well i'll see what i can do about the hanger and try to clean it up. THATS IT?! what about all the other things? LAZY! just didnt want to correct his cruddy work. He put another hanger in SHAVED off the hanger that was so ugly and ruined the beautiful welds from the factory on the muffler. $190 wasted for CRAP WORK. $250 HKS muffler WASTED cause of somebodies CRAP WORK who doesnt want to listen and doesnt care and wants to decide how MY exhaust should look. I want my money back AND a new muffler back. HORRIBLE WORK. I'm never going back to this location. I've taken several of my cars to meineke to get exhaust done and this time killed it. NEVER AGAIN! I never got loud, never was demeaning, I just wanted quality work. I refuse to settle for half-assed work on my car. "

So today i did some work on the car to get that stress out.

~Pulled the oil pan and put on a new gasket.
It's a felpro made of a composite material and you should NOT use silicone on it. Last time I did and its a bad idea. With a cork gasket it is fine. with a composite its like two plastics trying to make a seal, causes bubbles and it WILL leak.
I ordered one online and there was an "error" yeah but they took my money out right quick though. no error there. LOL so i got one locally, shoulda done that the first time.

~Took out my modified galant oil baffle/pickup and replaced it with the evo one since i am using an evo pan
~Ran wires through the firewall to the oil pressure sender in my sandwich adapter. So the new oil pressure gauge works :)
~Oil change.
Switched her over to 5w-30 Royal Purple with the engine restore additive i always use.

So got the new seat brackets in to replace the ones that were completely off, installed and they finally fit properly.
Also since i had the seats out i installed the harness I had for the drivers side :) Finally putting that harness bar to use haha.
Man....Now i feel like im driving a serious car. center of gravity is much lower when in the seats and i feel much more connected to the car its crazy.....I wasnt going to change the steering wheel but now I think i need to for sure O_O
