License plate holder?

While I was at the JY, I saw a G and inside I saw a license plate holder, which I can't say I remember seeing on another. Mine doesn't have it, at least. Anyway, it has the GALANT lettering imprint on it like the door trim, so one can put the chrome letters on it.

Anyone else have it? Apparently it only fits the 99-01 as it uses the holes under the bumper opening to mount, which the later ones do not have.

It's a dealer factory option. I've seen it on many Galants whether modified or not. And yes the chrome letters fit inside. But I will tell you this: if your local laws have a knack for front license plates, the last thing you'd want is some cop pulling you over for no front license plates and you can't defend yourself in court because there's already a license bracket there.

Ahh, I see. the JY car was a DE, so it kinda surprised me. I think CA law requires the plates ;\ but I was planning on using something like that for photos, meets and the like, and covering it with the plate later.

yeah mine was beyond broke when i got mine, i think the old guy that had my galant liked hitting things. front and back.
