I did a search to see if anyone covered this already but couldn't find much about it. It's about time for me to replace my plugs and wires, I'm trying to figure out what are the best plugs and wires to get? I see all the Platnium Plus 4's and Iridium plugs a lot, but haven't heard much about the preformance of them. Also, i've been looking on line for wires and i see a lot of them different sizes from 7mm up to 10.3mm. What brands of plugs and wires do you reccomend and why? Also good place to purchase them...Thanks...

by FAR, the factory stuff is the best.

The factory plugs are good (though, I like running a step cooler, which the dealership dosen't carry) But the factory wires are kinda crappy. For the price you pay Magnecores are better. The factory wires use rubber boots, which are inferior to silicone that most good aftermarket wires use.

why wouldnt they work?
The part that goes to the plug is shorter on the DOHC then the SOHC and the plugs are wider. I got them back in July never used. Ive been trying to sell the like early Dec.

Ye I know the wire ends are different. I thought you were talkin about the sparkplugs, cause I just screwd in some old plugs from my car into the 1g head I have and they fit perfectly. The wire set are different though ye.

I was going to start a new topic for this question but I said screw it...

i'm beginning to think manybrews is da dealership nazi!

"no mods for YOU!"

seems odd to even post in the performance section if you're all anti-mod.. dont' you think?

anyways.. for a stock motor... stock is fine... but if you plan on modifying..

NGK Copper Core plugs, and NGK blue wires are fine. and Will carry you well past 350HP
