Nothing new, but I couldn't find a tutorial thread so i thought I'd make one. Thanks to beam514 and qnz for baking temp and time in another thread. Sorry for the crappy pics. Cell phone cameras :icon_rolleyes:

Remove the grille by pushing down on the plastic tabs holding in on. Be careful, they are easy to break. The headlights are held on by three bolts, two on the side, behind the grille and one on top. They should pull out fairly easy. After you have them out, remove bulbs and the two rubber condensation vents.

Now, the fun part. Pre-heat the over to 250 degrees. When the oven reaches temp turn it off and put the headlight in. The first one I left in for 10 minutes and had to work to get the lense off. The second one stayed in for 12 minutes and came out very easy.

After pulling it out of the oven use a screwdiver (or something like that) to pry up on the tabs holding the lense to the black case. The plastic will be very flexible so dont pry too hard. Pull the lense off the case.

On the lense side, there is one screw holding the chrome piece on. After removing the chrome piece you will be able to pop the amber side piece out. It should pop out easily.

Reinstall the chrome piece and push the lense and case back together. If you're slow you may need to put it back in the oven for a couple minutes for the glue to loosen up again. Make sure all the tabs are locked back in on the lense and reinstall the bulbs and rubber boots.

Before and after:

Reinstall the headlights and grille on your car and you're done!

It may be a good idea to clean the inside of your housings while you have it apart. After finishing this little project and buffing the outside of the lense with headlight restorer I wish I would have. Good luck and happy modding!
