Unique Tail Lights

Anybody thought about getting some colored vinyl that matches the color of your car and putting it on the tail lights and then cutting out whatever shape or design for the light to shine through?

I have a silver 9g and I thought about doing this. Finding some vinyl that matches my shade of silver well and then covering the tail light and cutting out maybe a halo for the brake light. It would look like a matched cover I think.

It depends on state laws.... Make sure you don't end up with a fat ticket.

it's been done looks cool if done right, you should be OK in the laws eyes as long as you are able to see the red from 500 feet away. you can go to a decal shop and get them with any pattern cutout to go over the lens, good luck and keep on modding.
