cam upgrade??????????????

I was wondering something I am putting another 4g64 in my car and i wanna get a little more out of the car then what i had outta the last motor I got 160,000 and can probally get more but going with something with less milage. OK should i put a beffier cam in it ? will it give me anything more or do nothing? and if it will do something what will it do for me? any suggestions?

The only beef I have with cams is the lumpy idle they usually result in. The stock cam isn't very agressive at all. You'd see decent gains with RPW's stage one cam. Probably....20 hp? I'd like to hear a soundfile of a '64 with a hotter cam in it before I'd buy one personally though.

if yur gonna buy a cam gear i suggest u buy a cam gear too since the timing cover and everything has to be taken out
