Hey i have a 99 galant and got in a bit of an accident and both airbags deployed. im trying to buy the parts on my or since getting them from manufacturer cost way too much. Im just looking to find out if the computer and or clock spring also need to be changed or if i can just get the bags and install them. Also is there anything that has to be taken care of in terms of the sensors.

Thanks

My interior is grey, but i already got the bags and comp module. I have a friend that works in a body parts shop. If anyone has instructions on how install driver and passenger airbas i really appreciate it. I would considered not even fixing my car but it only has 60k miles on it

Yeah, take it to the shop man. Let the pros do it. Now, you can upgrade to a JDM front and CF hood ;)

I haven't taken the drivers airbag out, but the passenger one is actually pretty simple to remove. Once you get the underdash off there are 4 bolts and an electrical connector to disconnect and the unit lifts out of the dash through the top. And to answer your first question.. yes your clockspring should be replaced. The computer should be fine, but if you can get another one for an inexpensive amount it may be worth replacing, just because of the way the airbag system functions.
