Stay with me, I tend to write a lot...
I'm working on slowly pulling the front end of my car's look back together. My radiator support still needs to be pulled out slightly to be straight again, therefore no more bungee cords holding the hood down. I will eventually have the hood and bumper replaced, though I do a pretty good job of it being flush with the fenders...

I just recently purchased my black grille pieces from rockauto.com a while back and I love the black better than the original grey color. Next I want to get new headlights, I'm done trying to clear up the lenses. I want the actual black housing headlights, much like the ones listed on Ebay such as "JDM crystal black headlights" and the like. They look exactly like the originals of course, but are obviously black. Does anyone know if these are of good quality? Such as the plastic? I know they don't come with reflective corners (look at links) but I plan to clear the amber plastic and install LED signals which I expect to be bright enough.

My last question: Is there any extra setup necessary for the LEDs? Any of those load resistors or relays and such required or is it straight plug and play?

all i heard about them was that the light output sucked, even with HID's

I don't know about quality, but there used to be black headlights that came with a clear turn signal reflector, instead of amber. It looked a lot better than taking out the amber reflector, since it didn't leave the bulb exposed. I can't seem to find it anymore though.

One of the metal clips that holds the light bulb came off during installtion. And it's not pre aimed right so you may have to adjust it. Other than that, you get what you pay for.

I have HIDs too, so I would hope they are bright. Did you order yours from eBay?

Yea...that's where I get mostly everything from. Some people say that ebay isn't a good place to get things from but it all depends on the seller.

why don't you just find some used 02-03 headlights like I did and clear the corners
