9gen i4. Has anybody thought about making a short exhaust and dump it after the oil pan or dump it after the rear axle and if u have wat does it sound like

why would u want to do that? just seems like something ricers do just to fool each other into thinking they got a performance exhaust.

more then most likely itll sound obnoxiously loud i have an exhaust leak right around that area (not even and open pipe just a leak) and if your outside the car you cant even hear yourself think.

on an i4 na, an open exhaust will sound like angry bees farting loudly.

it sounds alright so i will do headers megan or magnaflow exhaust depends on how the pockets look but what headers are u using

he was talkin about using headers down pipe cat and muffler but put errthang close and jus run it like that idk why but he said it would sound great

if you dont wanna be obnoxious and still get a great sound. get a res delete. midas $50 bucks weld it a straight pipe where the resonator was. i just got mine done a couple of weeks ago and it sounds pretty damn good. also saves your that cash.
(p.s. i do have the 3.8l v6 with mivec heads)

I've been thinkin about getting a resonator delete, it's only $30 at this local muffler shop, so I'll probably do it eventually, but I'm not sure if I wanna do that or just save the gas money and spray some water on my glasspack haha.

I got a Res and third Cat delete and put in a used Res. It sounds awesome!!
