Since the tranny blew on my 8G i went ahead & bought an 01 Eclipse GS 5spd.

Ordered my led tails, led 3rd brake light & 5000k HID kit...Should be in next week. I'll post pics once i get everything installed

So i got my 5000k hid kit & well i doesnt work so i ordered a 6000k quartz purple HID kit from V-leds.com. The LED tails & 3rd brake light should be in friday

Thanks! Compared to the 8G its really fun to drive since its 5spd & my exhaust tone is a little bit different but i love it! & 10,000K? Dam that's got to be really blue

^Too Blue IMO, There is a world of difference between the 8000k 35w low and 6000k 35w fog combo in one of my G's and the 6000k 55w low and fog combo in the other.


BTW im waiting for the lights on the G that isn't matched to go out so I can replace and match them. Maybe projectors if my bank account allows.

I just replaced my 10k bulbs in my 8G with 6k, gonna see what the difference is tonight. Just from daytime I can tell the color difference is night and day, now gotta see if the light output is.

5000K and 6000K are the optimal temps to use for both visibility, and a hint of blue.

I have projector heads from my old G that i'll let go for $100 shipped the only thing is they'll have to be wired into the stock harness

5K is pretty much a pure white. The 6K I used to have on the GA had a tinge of blue, but nearly the same visibility.

Yea i had 6K on my G when i had stock heads...loved them just figured i'd try something a little different

Just some thoughts of kine. Did you see the head on club3g where the guy took the same tails and modified the Mercedes emblem out of them? They look 1000000x better. Also why do you need 440 Injectors? Unless you are boosted then you wont need them. Also not to rain on this thread but the Outlander manifold will not clear your firewall

The Mercedes thing doesn't really bother me, getting 440cc injectors & scaling them down, & i see that everyone on C3G says it doesn't fit but i don't see any actual proof so until then i'm gonna try it out myself
