I got a rear sway bar installed off a gsx. The bar is touchibg my exhaust and its making a horrible vibrating sound. I decided to replace it now heres where i need help. I am curre tly looking at a rear 19mm sway bar for a 2g or go to a jubk yard and buy the rear control arma and sway bar off an 8g. I can get the 2g 19mm for 130$$ and the rear sway setup off a 8g for 140$$ wich one should i get?? Heres the link for the 2g bar

Stick with the 2g bar or dimple you exhaust to provide clearance! That the problem with the stock exhaust... mine was custom. Try that before you spend any money!

You could always hose clamp them together and that should stop the vibration!

so why didnt u jest get a GST bar?

quote from peanotations website and sway bar tutorial

Because of all the inherent problems with the 18mm bar, I suggest a smaller bar be used. The GST sway bar traces the rear crossmember quite accurately, and doesn't have all the wierd bends the GSX bar does for its AWD system. This will hopefully prevent the interferance problems and make it easier to bolt down the brackets.

yea i saw the tutorial the thing is my piping is not stock its a lil bigger than stock thats why it pushes the pipes a lil further. and now that ive tried the 18mm i dont want to go to 15mm. so i started thinking if the gst bar had a good fit becouse the lack of awd bends i guessed a 18mm aftermarket bar for th gst would be a good option

the gst bar is fine. are u going to track the car or autocross it? ive had the GST 15mm bar for 3 years and its great.

id dent in the pipe a little to make it clear as i had to on my exhaust to clear my lower strut tie bar

u would be fine with a stock gst bar, we didnt have a sway bar as the car has bracing that was sufficient to control the lean on the car. ive done many things in my car to know the gst bar is fine. or get a good deal on a bigget bar

u were talking about changing the bar out, or you could make the exhaust go unger the rear cross member and that solves it as well
