Guys, i am in a big trouble!!
my side lights are not working. also i have non-functional licence plate light and gauges lights (a/c,speedometer).
i checked the fuses, everything ok. what i could do to make it work, i took off the big black box (i have no idea how;s it called), it's above the ECU and connected a wire instead. and now the all these lights are on, even when the igntion key and all the lights are off. in order to make the lights go off, i have to take the wire out.
now i wionder if this is the problem with the front ecu?

did u check the fuses in the yellow fuse holder in the fuse box under the hood?

there are 2 10A fuses. both fuses were ok, but the contacts of one of the base,i mean the plastic black thing was melted. can it be the problem

try replacing both of those fuses as they might be bad even if they look ok.

i replaced them both, one is the dome light fuse and another one seems to be the horn fuse. the situation remains the same: no position lights, no lights in the gauges and the a/c

use a curcuit tester at the fuse box on every fuse you think it might be. if those are all cool you need to look into the wireing. possible short, possible broken wire, could be alot of things, but start at the fuse box to make sure the power is there in the first place

all the fuses have been tested and they were ok. i took a wire and connected the low lights fuse with the position lights fuse and now it works. but the lights in the gauges and a/c control are still off

hmm very weird. so at least the wiring to position lights and the bulbs there are fine.

oh wait you said if you skip the fuse box and put a wire everything will turn on, so then it has to be in the fuse box if its not the fuses.

i was thinking if this could be the ECU? if i take the ECU from other car and put it on my car and if it works, then it's the ECU?

it will turn on, but then it means that all the power is coming from the low lights! i changed the places of position lights fuse with the window motor fuse and no changes: window motor works and position lights not working.
