A donor shell.

Plans are to do a nut and bolt stripdown of my car and rebuild it on the new shell replacing/restoring parts where needed.

Currently under consideration are a manual conversion, larger turbos, definatly a progressive NOS system, colour change, no more graphics (well apart from the girls :)), definatly vented wings, possibly wide arch conversion, S-AYC rear diff, fully polybushed.. etc etc

The doner shell is now completely 100% stripped of everything my next task is to make a spit up for it so I can start prepping it for a respray.
Havnt totally decided on colour yet.

But if thats the way TGC rolls I'll make sure to head over to everyones Members cars threads and garages and tell them where they are all going wrong with modifications :wink:

Most forums like this tend to have very outspoken people about their style and beliefs in general, and it's cool. At least we tell you what we honestly think.

I for one like the stickers, or some of them anyway. And I'm really digging the black. I want to paint my GTZ black, but I have to do many other things first, including a 5 speed swap, maybe an engine rebuild, or a new engine entirely, and various interior work, including proper sound deadening - liquid and mat deadener in the trunk, new carpet and deadening mat on the floor, deadener mats on the bench with the fuel pump and roof, multiple layers of deadener on the doors, with speakers mounted on the outside of the door panel.

I've got big plans, but it's all starting with new suspension and breaks. I'm getting lifetime warranty rotors, new pads and calipers, a set of KYB shocks/struts, Tein lowering springs, new tires, and repainted/resurfaced wheels, all with an alignment. Next is a tune up, new gaskets, oil change, and a check of everything.

If you are going to post pictures, you are going to get different opinions. If you like the car, and you can see your self driving it, who cares what people think. All the comments are doing is telling you what they like and don't like, if you want to go comment on peoples cars, go for it. That is your choice.

Btw - The stickers are cool. They identify you and your car when you are doing 90 past someone. So you can tell all the haterz that their simple grey or black G's are boring and no one will remember them! lolz

It started life as a Hamilton Silver SuperVR4. Someone hit it in the rear in Japan and I'm guessing when the owner had the rear end repaired they decided to respray it Gloss Black. The reason it looks so different is because of the CF vented bonnet, CF Front Canards/Splitters, CF Side skirts, the Cibie headlights and the Ganador Aero Mirrors, oh and the arch entensions from a Facelift VR4.

Japan Only Limited Edition of around 500 I think the Super VR4 was.

Ive 99% decided on the new colour scheme for the rebuild (no it wont be getting Vinyl on it) but hit a snag with the annual check on my V6 FWD Galant so the Super is still in daily use for another month. Then I can take it off the road and start work on it :D.
