I've been looking forward for this opportunity to happen and finally time permitted me to do so. School has come to an end for this semester and I don't think I'm taking summer classes. So, its time for the G to shine. My G at the moment does need a lot of attention as well as TLC. My main focus this time around will be finishing the JDM Old Style Side Skirts, Rear Bumper, Back Up Sensor, Custom Fog Lights, Exhaust, Brakes, and Interior stuff.

I made this presentation through PPT slide show and imported as an image. I do apologize in advance due to a lot of black spaces around the contexts and images. But my intention is to deliver a vivid history of my one and only daily driver and serves as a motivation on a day to day basis. I can't go anywhere without it. You know how that goes. Hopefully, you enjoy browsing through and feel free to drop me some comments or suggestions.

Thanks a lot Adrian! Although the old wheels where super light I did get tired of the 16" GF-1's not from rolling on 'em, but it's a bitch cleaning every single corners and spokes.

Damn, I didn't know any of this was going on with your g. Love it so far man!
It has been going on for a while I just never had the chance to post every time I work on projects. There still more stuff to come and I'll hit you with another surprise bro. Haha

Nice! I wouldve had to kick some ass at that tire shop though, thats jacked up! Did they compensate you?
They did in fact compensate me by changing the studs on all four corners. I wanted to kick some serious ass but I kinda held myself together.

so you gonna finally wire up the folding mirrors to fold??
I'm finally going to wire up the folding mirrors and high-beams. Let me know when you want to start with your rear disk conversion too.

I appreciate it. I worked hard on putting it all together. It's not so easy to remember everything what I've done in the car so I went back tracked every picture and used the date as a reference.

I really appreciate that man. I used PowerPoint to lay out all images and texts then saved them as PDF file. Once PDF'd, I captured every single slide then turned them into JPEG's. Uploaded them in TinyPics and from then it was just a matter of copy and paste. Shhh! And that my friend is the secret ingredients of creating it with style. You should try it yourself. A lot of work involved but it sure paid off.

Thanks bro. I could've done that but I typically use either my iPhone or my fiance's Canon Powershot when I do projects like before. I do have a DSLR which I mainly utilize and shoot to achieve professional result. Bottomline, I don't like using DSLR when it's time to get down and dirty. I'll try it next time for my other future mods.

Looks great man. I love the attention to detail.

Thanks bro. I'm glad you caught that... but my g is not as fast or detailed like your g (big fan). Unless, you meant the presentation of the build.

Even myself couldn't believed with the full metamorphosis it went through. I still don't think it's completely done. So, I'm preparing myself to add more good stuff in the beginning of summer. I still can't find shrouds and brackets for the fogs to be installed. I got a little something in my mind that will give the car more of a distinctive (different) attitude compare to having the traditional VR4 look. You're right about gas prices these days. It's just "redonkeylous!"

LOL... I meant attention to detail like you take your time to get things right. Don't be fooled, my car was the biggest POS there was 5 or 6 years ago. Up until 2008 my car was like 5 different colors. It takes time, you have to start somewhere. For me, im glad it all happened the way it did, it was a journey that I enjoyed taking and the knowledge gained in doing it has come to help others get it done easier and without wasting money or time on stuff trying to figure it out.

So far it's off to a good start with the Side Skirts project. Rey is the man trimming the sides initially to fit the USDM 8G.

Good stuff, bruh!

It really is some good stuff and I'm learning a lot auto body work/repair techniques.

Yes, indeed... came off of a VR4. Lucap did some minor modifications to it today. Sorry Rey but that thing's gonna have to stay.

This is exactly what Cali and Lucap advised me in taking this journey. You're definitely right about taking the time in to getting things right in the first place. I do have some plans in the future changing the color of the car, but I'm taking small steps completing tiny mods or projects and enjoyed it at the same time. I totally agree with you on money and time ratio.

Just like what I said to Ally on the other thread that I wasn't quite sure If all the parts were going to be painted on time prior to MOD. Whew! Fortunately, my friend Earl Scheib hooked it all up within 12 hours. It was like doing a heart surgery in the OR while I was transporting them from the shop to my house and it was even nerve wracking during the actual installation.

I did all the preparations myself. Lots of back breaking repair and sanding. I'm giving these parts extra 2 weeks before I buff everything to smooth.

Good job! They did a good job of colormatching too. Did they use an integrated clear coat? Or a separate base coat and clear coat? In the past Ive known them to only use the integrated clear coat, which you cannot color-sand...

It's a base coat clear coat deal. They could've done a better job prepping the parts and I'm assuming that's not their specialty. I did my best on the preparation part but I ran out of time.

I haven't seen that much 8G equipped with roof rack for their bikes, surfboards or anything that you can possibly put on top of the car. So, I bought a new INNO Gutterless Mount System, SU Fit Hook, 48" Thule Load Bars and Thule lockable fork mounted carriers (excluding the fairing) for the G and I'm totally digging the look with or without the bikes, and it actually does serve the purpose of buying them. My fiancé and I are now able to go biking everyday after school and work. The coolest thing about this rack is that it can actually be installed in her 2007 Toyota Corolla S just needs a fit kit specific for the car.

Here it is:

I was a Honda fanatic before and I think I still am (I want my EK9 back for my back up ride). Installing a bike rack wasn't the reason to become one "Honda Fan Boi" though. I've been seeing a lot of Honda's that are equipped with this unit (of course they gotta be slammed to the ground and has to be THULE or Yakima brand), but I never seen one with the bike on it. Most of 'em are just posers and going for the look. To tell you the truth it just looks way better on our G's bro.

I don't see anything wrong you putting a bike rack on your G. Remember, you do ride a bike bro. For the meanwhile, just have those easy-off wheel(s) stored in your back seat. I was like that but eventually got tired taking both wheels off and avoid scratching the door panels/plastics while I carefully store the frame in the back seat. Pain in the A**. Don't get grease on your seats man.
