Jdm headlights wont sit flush

So i spent the day dremeling away off the headlights and off the radiator support ...to have it not sit flush and my hood won't close :://!!!! what... gives pictures in a few....

i pushed the mounting points of the radiator back pushed the a.c line back

i need pics see and show what needs to be done. don't feel bad it took me 9 hours to do 1 side when i did mine.

the hood not closin makes it worse lol....it seems like the passenger isnt sitting as far down/and in as the driver

for my hood, I took off the rubber strip that runs underneath the hood.

I can still close my hood but they still bulge out slightly I'll take my pics n post them in a few when I warm up the G before work.

corey, your prob is probably because your using a zip tie lol! either way, get a bolt and bolt it down to see where its at, if it still sticks out cut the extra inch of fthat plastic flange and use washers or something to hold it out in the right place? or if its just marginally off dremel the back side of the plastic flange down enough to make it pull in flush, but yeah i dont really think zip ties are gunna be your friend on this one lol

EDIT: and 02red, your drivers side looks pretty close, at least passable to me since it looks like it would match the grille fine, as with the passenger side it looks like it just needs to be screwed down more, if its hitting keep on dremmeling. as far as the hood not closeing, could you get a pic from the front with the hood down so we can see how much of a gap you got?

He just needs to cut more I just flushed mine in 20min since I knew what to do just to lazy lol but what's holding my heads is just the grille I don't have any screws

what you need to do is cut the bottom flange on the headlight itself off.. I'll take some pics tonight so you can see exactly what I did, flush and the hood closes, granted the hood is still a little harder to close cuz of the grills design

u just need to trim a little more so you can push them back and down more; notice where the lower mounting hole and tab line up in my old cel phone pics. also look at the side rails of my radiator, did you do that yet? btw, that mounting tab on the bottom of the headlight's inside corner goes under my front bumper cover now making everything sit very flush (see last pic).

Grill is still half inch short .....hood closes with less effort

my bottom grill clip if its pushed into one side its short on the other and doesnt reach the headlight...im gonna remove the 02-03 nose piece tomorrow see if that helps..
