really good. about to get my JDM heads tomorrow and my new style grill(hopefully soon). I'm debating on whether to put my dolphin bumper on with the setup for MOD but I'm just going to turn around and take it back off for winter so I probably wont.

Just swapping wheels is a bitch, last time I had to switch them back...I used two scissor jacks. Took me an hour and a half. LOL

I don't mind being the odd man out, the Galant is the only reason I have the Evo. May have never gotten into Mitsu without it.

As for a meeting place, there were 2 meets in the past in South Philadelphia at a shopping center (Home Depot / Walmart for those who remember). Only problem is, it's south of the bridge entrance and would not make sense for upper PA, NJ, NY and beyond coming from that direction. It would work fine for MD and DE caravans... If you're coming down 95 though exiting before Center City puts you in the hood and open public parking lots are only going to be at shopping centers and the like...

This could get tricky....

WFT. now everyone, is having iff iff about the G. Why dont you guys trust your car and do a tuneup before the due date. Check everything is ok. If everything is good she wont let you down. Long trip, Oil change, coolant flush, spark plugs and wires. Check tire pressure. Check accessory belts.

Timing belt because I keep doing it myself, is why I'm scared. My last engine should not have failed, I'm just being a baby about another long trip with the car being I did the timing belt on this one too.

as long as it has a new tensioner you are good. when i did mine i did all new OEM belts, pulleys and tensioner. cost me like 320 just in parts without the water pump whic was another 50

I will be towing the G on the trailer, so I have to go 1 of 2 long ways, either LIE to BQE to Verrazano to 440 to outerbridge into NJ or LIE to Clearview Expwy to Throgs Neck Bridge to Cross Bronx to George Washington Bridge into NJ. Either way, its out of the way. I will most likely take the throgs/GWB route because there are actually less devastating pot holes that way than the BQE and I dont want to get another flat in the trailer, especially not on the BQE where you cant pull over.

LOL... Believe it or not, the first time I ever towed my car, it was from NY to NJ via the BQE and it was humbling to say the least. I almost lost it a few times. Last year I took the BQE again, but I was much smarter, however the extremely poor condition of the road actually damaged the suspension on the trailer.

Yeah. Is not good when a car shutdown after high temp. But i think the PCM does that as a safety. After some amount of Temp the computer will cut off all sensor to avoid damage. Try to disconnect the batt for 15 to 30 min. and try again. check if you have spark or fuel thru the injectors. I'm on vacation. I will talk to Dion a see if we could take a look at the G. Get new spark plug and wires. Double check The CEL. rule out the 5 speed codes.

good to hear! For now plans are to be at the KOP mall at 730am and leave there a little after 8am. I'm going to shoot for 7-7:15 arrival so we can fit in a breakfast stop or whatever else. Maps says it will take us 3.5 hours from my house so I'm leaving at 3:30am and should be in scranton around 4:30. This sound good to you?

I'm being called in this weekend and for at least a couple weekends to do emergency maintenance on our trains' air compressor dryers, components only a handful of tech's (including me) know how to repair. So I'm not gonna make it. I really wanted to show off the new G and see everyone and their cars. Please go if you can fam, I'll call out sick the week before so they can't pull this crap next year.

OMG. there is no hardcore people here anymore. Is too bad people are not making it or trying. I agree with Stewi, the reason Mitsu is making another one this years is thanks to all the evos that showed up. We are not going to race over there. There is a bigger chance of an engine breaking down on a stop and go daily drive than highway drive. If you do your oil, spark plug, spark wire and filter i see no reason of the engine going, unless you really runs like shit.
