Hi guys,

newbie here, from Hong Kong but im filipino though. Love the galant ever since i saw one..i got a 6G galant i somehow convinced my parents to get me one when i was a senior in high school and now im looking to get an 8g when i return to the Philippines...CANT WAIT!!

So when i do get one, im gonna need all the help i can get because i plan to dress it up JDM style..so my bros..specially from the Phils, im gonna need your help to find these parts when i do get one*wink wink*

thanks all!!and u can check out the pics of my stock 6G 1991 galant Gti. Just a l'il added info, this was the top of the line model in the Philippines back then. Too bad we didnt get the 4G63T AWD..*sigh*

Anyway, the Gti can still get the job done..punchy torque too w/redline @7000 rpm..so you can still have fun.

Nice to be in a place w/ loads of Galant lovers, i wonder why i never came across this before!!!!

In the philippines i knw we have 2 variants. The supersaloon which is a 2.0 SOHC i think 4g63? And the VR depending on the year model, is a 2.0 or 2.5 V6 DOHC w/ leather interior and all. :004:

i went to an international school here. Not a Chinese school, so i grew up w/ Americans, Brits etc...in fact i hardly speak Chinese..which is pretty lame come to think about it. Plus the Brits colonized this place for centuries so pretty much everyone here can speak English.

When American tourists here ask for directions i'd answer and they would get that WTF! look on their face..prolly thinkin he sounds like us...LOL

The models you talk about should be already "JDM", So no mods needed for you.
Also, I believe you'll be able to get the vr4 8g galant which is a 2.5L (6a13tt) + AWD. I would look for that if I were you, I'd love to have one.

Well thats on my wish list buddy.. But unfortunately the Philippines dont have the VR-4. But we have the VR which is indeed a 6a13 sans the TT too bad!! Only option is to import the engine and other vital stuff for it to work and then mount that bad boy..hehehe

But thats a whole lot of work, time and $$$ i dont think i can go that far.

Thanks on the Angel Eyes.. I got mine from Ebay.. and I also did some customize parts on it.. had to change a few things and made it better.. ill have to post a pic at night when I get a chance

slight resemblance with the 8th gen eh? Not a bad lookin predecessor too especially a car from the early 90's.
