So after all the hard work I put into the last 6g72 8g....I figured it's time to make a project thread...so here we go on 9/16/11 most of you know some @$$hole ran into the back of my car wit no license after doing so much work...leaving me wit literally a show car aesthetics-wise to a scrap car.

Before
http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/1bfe2eb6.jpg

After
http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/a62933d5.jpg

http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/68ec2ab6.jpg

As a True galant fan I couldn't let that end my fun....so 1 week later came my new project bare in mind the before and after of my last I'm ready to do it all over again.

Before
http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/36983fe3.jpg
After
http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/1bfe2eb6.jpg

So here she is ....I never thought I could go back to such a stock car,

http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/89140579.jpg

So the first thing I did was swap all four struts w/lowering springs,
And whole Evo brake setup

http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/fb157f81.jpg

Then the rear window spoiler

http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/36a90cda.jpg

Now I had plans on putting JDM front and rear bumpers as well as vr4 fender flares, power folding mirrors ,skirts, and my salvaged Evo VIII spoiler on. Which has been sittin around waiting to be put on.
Ordered 3rd gen JDM tails, heads, kouki grill, vogue lip, ccfl's for headlights and new HID bulbs....ballasts were still good.

http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/bb649920.jpg

http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/eb1a9051.jpg

http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/a399f75c.jpg

And now because I can't wait anymore the painting begins....along wit an OEM carbon fiber hood (seibon)

http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/161adb58.jpg

And here are some pics of the already painted peices

http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/9b9c8f99.jpg
http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/992659b8.jpg

http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/3d038500.jpg

First thing I did was take home the Evo spoiler side pieces and put the spoiler together as well as pieced together the mirrors.

http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/z407/cleazy123/53a23907.jpg

Now today I had to decide ....paint pieces leave car ....or paint pieces and every sq in of car......jogged it in my head for awhile and said f@ck it!

Bodywork started today as well as painting of the skirts, back bumper, extns.,handles, gtz rocker panels, fender flares

New one is looking good so far. The nice thing about doing it all over is skipping all the unnecessary mods you may have done along the way. Although you had no choice, its something I wish I had the balls to do.

Hey, tax return season is only a few months away. lol I know properly done bodywork isn't cheap, and the effort that goes into it isn't exactly easy either. It's just hard with my work schedule to really dedicate a full day to attacking some body panels, a bumper or lip. My house doesn't have a garage, or a good spot to actually get some work done (especially during winter, since I'll do work right out on the street when it's nice out. lol) and my g/f's has a garage, but her step dad keeps an awful lot of stuff in there, not much breathing room. I was lucky when I got the space to plasti-dip the G's 15"s. lol

Added: you got my vote for COTM, hell...I'll nominate ya. :D

I'm not understanding why everybody on here is against sticker bombing...I feel like it A. It shows originality B. it attracts attention ( and we all know we love to do that with our G's) and C. I am not by any means a follower but ....watch hellaflush Japan ...a lot of JDM cars are rocking it right now and even if its the most recent trend...it can't be dead yet. Plus who gives a shit anyway, as long as its what you like...I understand that many of you are used to making it look JDM and right of the showroom floor-ish...but I love attention and let me be the first to say ....NO LIE. Either...but I've had 3 people so far in two days pull along side my G and say "that shit is sick".....so please enlighten me guys what do all of u reall have against it? Apologies ahead of time if that was an extreme runon sentence lol..

Like most of us said its your ride.

Some people its a stupid honda/fanboi trend. IMO goes with certain cars and looks.

Personally it robs your car of its style/beauty.

To all their own but I think it's unique (for a g) and the attention you want is apparent so props on that.

In my opinion take it off the lip, the car is so clean with the body upgrades, spoiler and wheels it gets noticed, whatever attention you get from the stickers on the lip can't be any good.

A.) Its not original, look at Honda-Tech Appearance/Cosmetic threads from like 2008.
B.) Just because they do something in Japan, that doesn't mean you should. Those are some dorks on some backwards ass, "Let's make our shit look like America level stuff" except they still manage to execute it like a proper Japanese d00d. IE: Not AS bad
C.) It just looks awful. If you want to look like a 16 year old kid, go ahead, its not a path I would choose.

In terms of the concept it may not be the most original idea, but it is executed in a unique way that I haven't seen on anyone's 8G. Who cares about trending, why not keep it alive? And it doesn't matter which country does it first. It's an idea that a collective of like minded enthusiast's expanded on when sticker bombing was used in place of graffiti. It moved to cars and people either embraced or rejected it. Too some it's a reminder of culture to others it's just for fun. It's not meant to be mature in a sense that the idea is to scream attention, and for people to stare at it. Not saying that it's great but this is unique, everyone is different. Just my 2 cents.

If it was a 240 with wheels that is sticking out an inch past the fenders, or a Honda with Louis Vuitton door panels and their baby blanket custom fitted to the headliner, then I guess it's fine. But your Galant is clean, the install looks professional and you can tell from the fitment to the paint no detail was skipped. Basically what I'm saying is, the car is fucking gorgeous before the sticker bombing, right now it just doesn't fit what you had going.

Attention is not always good, but I guess if you're after attention on its own good or bad then yes you got that. On my end though its bad attention IMO. The car was too clean to sticker bomb.

I Loved the car before and I still love it! It's your car man if you wanna sticker bomb it go for it, if you want to shit on the hood go for it.

The only things I can say negatively from a person that doesn't care what you do to your own car I can say that you should try to fix the cluster trim.

Also I have nothing against sticker bombing, not that I would ever do it to my car, but I do think it looks better when its done with actual stickers as opposed to a wrap.
Then your individual sticker bomb job IS original and actually unique.

Anyway I give props for making a bomb ass G and going away from the norm.

Just an update after more trimming and Test fitting and trimming lol....so far looks great..couple things for anyone who might do this next... A) fuse box will need to be relocated B) unfortunately :/ sides of dash will need to be trimmed off so that doors will close OR!!! Door panels under tweeters need to be modded "severely" and possible fiberglass work will need to be done. C) diamanté airbag may or may not be able to be enabled...our steering column bar that goes across from drivers to passengers may interfere with its mounting location. BUT ON A BETTER NOTE, this dash looks AMAZING! compared to old dash, so ugly and after 3 8gs I'm so tired of it, my interior alone made me want to upgrade my car. Lol

Not too sure what I'm gonna do with gauges , I'm thinking use the "D" bezel and buy the gauges used only to take apart the housing and possibly pull out the G's and retrofit the "D" housing with g tach, temp, fuel, and mpg gauges ...maybe lil light bondo prime and paint ...lens on and bezel back on , should work well any suggestions ?

As long as the d's gauges use the same voltage and digital signal where it applies to the gauge set up itself as the g, I think you should try to see if you could get it to work man. I know probably the gauge clusters pigtails are not the same for both vehicles. be original! If not I'll be doing it lol

May have to install the diamante e brake handle too , looks like it would bolt up and the angle of it should clear the center console...-as of right now looks like it may be obstructed.

So about the doors. You cant get them to work with the dash as is, or you gotta modify them a bit? After you pull this off, you ever thought about a 3g wheel? Also what seats do you have? Nice carpet btw

I think I'm gonna fiberglass the doors and paint them black...there plastic anyway, 3G wheel I've had once before it feels really big and bulky IMO ...thankyou on the carpet...matches calipers nd valve covers...oh and seats are from and 01 Sebring coupe

Thats interersting on the 3g wheel. I wad considering one myself, but dont like the idea of a big bulky wheel. I don't want less leg room. Maybe of I ever go to a our local salvage yard I can find a 3g and see what its like.

If I do change my wheel it'll be for a "personal" steering wheel with an "NRG quick release adaptor" ...u can choose the "mm" 350,320,380 leather or suede, black, red, white stitch and bulky or skinny ...check em out.

Yeah personal sounds sick. I thought about woodgrain too, but I dunno if I wanna be without an air bag or how to get around the srs
