Joining the military

Just wanted to let you of those who know me personally or know me from different threads on here, as well as those currently in or formally served in the military... I just enlisted into the Marines today as communications/electrician and ship to boot on January 17th.

congrats man, im currently in the air force and its been good to me and my wife. your going to hear a lot of shit talking form people in the military about how much they hate it, but im gonna tell you and im sure you've heard before " life is what you make it" and that holds true in the military also. if your proactive and a hard worker that you will go far. if you have the mentality of just getting by then you will hate it especially in the marines? its good that you picked a a job that has a good civilian counterpart just in case you decide to get out and not do the full 20 years.

i hope it goes well for you and like greg said its an honorable decision and maybe i'll see you around one day.
