Evo style hood for 8g

So i just installed the evo stlye hood made out of fiberglass and the fitment is not great.....i did my research.. and here is what i did
shaved the side of the hood where the strut will hit.
removed the radaitor cap but didnt cause any rubbing
i lined up everything but still doesnt fit well on the passenger side
i had to move up the latch about half an inch in order to have the hood securely closed...didnt want it to fly up in my windsheild...

trimed the sides..ohh yea where the nuts touch the car i thought it was rubbing so i went to town

i might have to put a hood pin to keep it down alittle...really dont like hood pins looks cheesy but if i press on the hood it lessens the gap...

HOOD found it at my local pick n pull.. it was crack it some places but nothing bondo and elbow grease couldnt fixed...

hoodpins would help, but if the hood wasnt made properly, it will never fit good

You may just need to adjust the rubber stoppers. They can be tighten to lower or raise the gap of the hood in the front.

trust me i have the same issue with the aftermarket hood i have, its a pain in the ass ive tried to jump ontop of it and have taken the hood off and placed it a few hundred times

You know what brand that is? Aside from the radiator cap issues, my hood fits almost perfectly.

i took the rubber stoppers off mine when i put my vis cf hood on and it closed the gaps down nicely... not the same as a metal hood but close.

i guess this molding i got is not perfect but taking off the bump stoppers did help... im pretty sure if i get the hood pins it should help tie it down although it is not as perfect as the oem hood fitment.. pretty dam close enough plus i already spent alot time and TLC on this hood i wanna get the most out of it.. .when i get my hood pins installed next week i'll take some pictures of it....

Man that's awful fitment, IMO the way the car looks in your sig much better.

no punt intended but i must admit that bonnet has bad ripply sea effect ontop.. its all uneven for a new bonnet,not good start i think,its only going to get worse in the sun,

Sorry to say this, but the problem in the hood itself. The dimensions are not correct.

mine done the same thing what i had to do is were the hood meets the strut tower i had to cut that spot out of my hood and refiberglass it deeper in and it fixed my problem as far as the gap on the sides from the fender to the hood mine is still kinda wide but it looks good

You guys need to cut more than that little gap. Check the old hood and that one. It should give you a idea how much to cut.

i just cut that gap out on mine and it cleared for me ill try to get some pics up to show yall what i done
