Is a 97 (Diamante) 6G74 exact same as a 02 (Diamante) 6G74

Hello, I was curious if anyone knew if there are any differences between a 97 diamante 6g74 and a 02/03 diamante 6g74? Is the Vacuum Hoses any different in any way?

Also, i was reading through a few threads and came across someone saying a 99ECU cannot be flasehed and they needed to get a eclipse ECU to be able to flash or tune it. A 99 Galant 6g72 Ecu is flashable/tunable isnt it? I have tactrix 2.0, with the mitsubishi 2.5mm plug. When i plugged it into my ecu it never gave me an option to choose a 8G Galant. EVO was my only option. anyone know why im not given the option to choose 8G Galant?

All second-gen Diamantes have the 6G74, if there are wiring and/or vacuum routing differences I'm not sure, I still have pics of my 2002 Diamante's engine bay for reference if you need them.

Off the top of my head one thing that pops in. The 97 is a fed spec the 02 is cali spec so all the shinanigans coming with that.

97 was the first year of 2nd Gen, or so says Wikipedia and Consumer Guide. And yeah, I have no idea what they may have changed between the whole Cali spec and Fed spec emissions setup, but I'm sure it's significant. Mine had the cats right at each exhaust manifold, that screams Cali spec.

99 ecu is flashable though you may need a custom rom to do any tuning. You need to select the 99-03 evo box that is what the protocol is
