wepon r ive heard around that theyre not too great. jic is a preety damn good company i didnt even know they made coils for us or i might have tried them, i have ground control's and i love em best coil for the dollar imo. but in the end if your gona get coils save up and get new shox and struts along with them caus the ride's gona be preety rough and for those id sujest kyb agx's. but if your not lookin to go crazy with the car like a kit and all that id just go with lowering springs the ride's better and they dont drop that much that you would have to change it up in the winter but ill let the members with the lowering springs get that one.

I can speak from experience and say the the big drop that the Progress springs give is a bit much to handle in the winter. Definitely bumpy as hell with all the pot holes.

As far as I know, JIC doesn't have coilovers, but rather a couple different hi-low kits. The hi-low kits are adjustable springs along with adjustable shocks.

JIC are definitely coilovers. They are the definition of coilovers, if JIC's aren't coilovers, nothing is. What is a hi lo kit? A real coilover is an ajustable shock that is threaded and has perches that are adjustable all in one unit. Things like ground control and weapon-r are not real coil overs, they are/should be called threaded sleeve kits, but that's kinda long to say.

JIC's are among the best coilovers out there. There aren't any made for the Galant per se, but they are made for the 3G eclipse. Edit: I take that back, maybe, JIC has a Galant application listed on thier website:

We actually talked about these a ways back:

Look for reviews on neweclipse.org. They are awesome. Make sure you check out what RRE has to say about them too.

With all that said, antmoneygtz, you would probably be best off with the Ground Control kit. The JICs are expensive at 1700, and if you are only going to do the front, you would be wasting a ton of money.

I know JIC's are what should be known as coilovers, but I've only heard them reffered as hi-low kits. Most people know coilovers that are sleeves only, so I didn't want anyone thinking that's what the JIC's were.
