I only had the car for about a month. I am doing the radiator change on my 2002 galant 4cly today (cracks on top) and wanted to flush out the system. I bought one of the peak kits to do the flush but i only have one hose coming out the firewall.the hose on the left going to the thermostat. on the RIGHT PORT no hose.

"Looking at the Firewall, the left port goes to the Thermostat housing. The right port on the firewall goes to the water pipe below the thermostat housing(MISSING HOSE)."

Any reason hose going to water pump would be missing and how can it hurt???(no over heating issues)

Just found out from youtube what the ac tickling sound is. and i have no heat.(south florida so i never needed it)

Do i replace this hose and where does it go????

GETTING PICS NOW. THANKS

if you have no heat it might not be the hose thats causing it ,the switch that switches from hot to cold might not be working
thers a switch under the dash that controls that and it goes out frequently that might your next best bet to change to test if thats it turn the knob all the way to cold or warm and see if you hear a ticking sound if you do its the switch thats causing your no heat issue

have you checked your antifreeze level?

as along the valve is closed the engine coolant wont go thru. i had this issue and its a bitch to get to man. the whole bottom of the dash needs to be removed. its easy to do its just so much crap. make sure u buy the piece before u tackle that problem. its this that gets stuckhttp://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk213/johny9639/valve.png so check if its hard stuck or if your little motor is just broken then just add the a new whose from autoparts or junkyard. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Heater-Temperature-Control-Motor-02-03-Galant-NEW-Genuine-Mitsubishi-Part-/380381766464?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Model%3AGalant&hash=item5890852340&vxp=mtr

yes get the hose end of topic you need to have both otherwise you will lose the coolant. think of it this way your cars cooling system is a closed loop except for at your overflow tank and that doesn't come into play unless the pressure in the system gets grater that what the radiator cap can handle. So no hose no pressure system may not be overheating YET but it will think of the coolant level it cant get any higher then the the tube on your water pipe.

also one goes to water pipe the other goes to the thermostat housing next to your intake manifold
