Welcome to TGC! Very clean 8G you have. Great choice on wheels, too!

Anything else in mind for the car?

Bobby-Booshay
05-22-2012, 07:50 PM
Not to sure yet, wheels are a must then most likely a CAI, bigger exhaust maybe just maybe a straight pipe but not sure how it would sound on a 2.0l and she definately needs lowering a bit. any suggestions?

A good quality CAI is worth the money. Not too sure for your engine specifically, since the 8G in the US only had the 2.4L SOHC (4G64) as its four cylinder engine choice.

Look into what AEM has for your engine, I have the AEM CAI for my 8G, very good quality.

As for lowering the car, if it's a daily driver, a good set of lowering springs would be your best bet. Tien, Megan, Eibach and H&R makes good quality lowering springs for the 8G.

car looks good. For a long time I wasn't a big fan of the way galants look, but the more modified ones I see the more I appreciate the looks of them. People do some good things with these cars.

Petrol is Stupidly expensive my friend it costs around $117 to fill my tank and it only lasts around 250 miles with a heavy foot maybe 320 miles if. Drive economically

first upgrade to my galant, new 17 inch BK Racing BK299's would have gone for 18's but for some reason my galant is a 4 stud pattern instead of a 5 so it's hard to get 4 stud 18s in england without costing a fortune and also a sparco shortr shift knob

is that a pop-up antena on ur trunk side?

Bobby-Booshay
10-28-2012, 04:22 AM
yes it is a pop up antena mate, and yeah 4 lug was a surprise to me but apparently it's known as a Galant type V over here

4 lugs, standard I'm afraid on all UK galants including the V6 models. The VR4s had 5 lug, but of course every VR4 in the UK is an import (even the 200 Ralliart ones) USDM Galants have the 5 lug set up. I have just fitted a set of hubs from the US to mine and now able to run EVO wheels. Always seemed a big car for only 4 lugs, but to be fair, never had any issues with it even when tracked.

Bobby-Booshay
11-22-2012, 12:36 PM
i didn't realise, coz in the same road as me is a galant v6 auto with a 5 lug set up but they may have done a conversion i guess
