I'm New

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum. I'm also fairly new to the world of owning a Galant, I've had one for just under 2 years. I had a fairly rough start to the world of Galant owning, got a great condition Silver 2003 Galant GTZ at first but it was murdered by a hit and leave car to run on foot. But I had fallen in love with the feel of driving a Galant and had to find another one, so found my current Black 2004 Galant GTS. I love driving that car and have it up to just shy of 144k, putting about 34k miles on it since I got it. I haven't had any major issues with the car and have only done preventative/routine maintenance (timing belt, water pump, brakes, oil changes and rotations). The car continues to feel strong and maybe even better than before the timing belt (had nearly 120k miles on the stock one). Needless to say I've become a full fledged Mitsubishi fanboy at this point.

So enough with my introduction, what are the other members on this board behind the wheel of?

2000 galant i4 @ 177k miles. I bought the car after driving my friends v6 g. I liked the styling, simplicity of engine bay, and mostly the great handling and feel.

Wecome to tgc! 2001 es I4 147k miles on clock we had a couple hickups at first but over all a trooper ( mostly becouse previous owner didn't keep up with maintenance) but still have no complaints at all

Welcome to TGC. Are you going to keep the G stock?

I do love the stock look of the body but I have been considering some tasteful aftermarket upgrades maybe some black rims, better brakes and tinted windows and might repaint it as the paint is fading and is the clear coat is really damaged on the trunk and is spreading slowly. But that will have to be after I take care of some maintenence issues. Needs an exhaust leak fixed (getting progressively worse), needs new tires, the driver's side back window motor replaced and a new 6-disc changer in the dash.

Well i can tell you that i bought my 02 in 03 and just sold it a few months ago. I am already ready to buy me another one. I miss that car so much. lol

Yeah there's always been a slight gap on that body style, I think made more noticeable by the way the hood curves down to the bumper. The ones before that just weren't as pronounced because it didn't actually curve down towards the bumper.
