91 gsx ecu

I just got this car from a friend and can't find a ecu for it anyone know what one would work for me? It didn't
Come with a ecu so I have no numbers

I beleive u can use the ecu from a 91-92 GS, the GSX didnt come turbo, so any DOHC non turbo ECU should work

I'll get some pics it's non turbo auto previous owner said something in fuel circuit was shorting the ecu out and would a ecplise or talon ecu work? Does it matter if I get auto or manual ecu ?

Auto or manual same ecu, if you get a talon or eclipse ecu it must be a non turbo 2.0 ecu

yep, any non turbo 2.0L ECU would work, whether from a Galant, or a T/E/L (Talon, Eclipse, Laser) but it must be a 2.0L, the 1.8L ECU wont work

good find on the car, same as mine more or less, but urs is AWD

a little TLC and u will be happy with the car

if u need any thing, lmk, i have a few parts laying around as well as 4 door cladding (same as the one on the car) and a pair of headlights

What years will work with my wiring? I have the ecu harness out right now lookin for a short. or would a any other harness work

91-93, 90's were different in the pinouts

i will be getting rid of my ECU soon due to a project im working on, its a 92 DOHC GS ECU, i'm working on getting it running using the 01 Eclipse ECU

u can also look for a 91-93 Eclipse ECU as well

D you should go Evo ECU. It's hard to go through the list of all Ecus that will. If you give me your VIN I can run it and get you the correct ECU part number for that car.

3g ecu/evo ecu, same thing, im not boosted, why go evo when i can go 3g and just flash when i boost?

that ECU is for a 1G DSM 2.0L NA FWD (D22A), therefore it WILL work good sir

but the ECU's released for the 1991 GSX were (6/90-5/91) MD166251 for fed spec, MD166252 for Cali Spec and
(6/91-5/92) MD172577 for fed spec, MD172578 for Cali Spec

u will find ur car's release date on the door tag to figure out which ecu u need, also based on ur vin number CAPS shows ur ECU to be MD166250 which is the 1991 (6/90-5/91) Manual Transmission FED SPEC ecu

MD166250 is the correct part number. dont go by production date just put that number in ebay and go!

if i wanted to just get a new wiring harness could i use one from a ecplise too or is that different

its the same...engine harness only....im not sure if the eclipse harness has the wiring for the knock sensor but I know the harnesses are the same, the pinouts for the ECU are the same as well

Would anyone have a wiring harness they could cut the o2 sensor and other plugs by it? I can get a pic of the wire colors theyres 8 wires plus the o2 with the ground in it
