I own a 2005 LS V6 Galant and my A/C was working fine about I want to say 3 months ago cause that is the last time I used it. (more of a fresh breeze type of person). But recently my air was just blowing out air.

Just today it was kind of cool but still not like it's suppose to be. And also earlier this morning the A/C light was flashing. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

No freeon. Probably upper p/s condensor has a leak

I was thinking it was probably a recharge.

if his cabin air filter was that clogged it would alter air pressure/capacity passing through not make cold air warm passing through.

Did you check your compressor to see if it is engaging, do you get a flux in rpm when you turn on the ac?

When was last time ac was flushed or filled? was it done by a shop or a self fill plug on bottle from over the counter?

If you really wanna nip it in the bud, got to a place that can do a full diagnostics that includes a dye test, thats when they put a neon reactive dye through your ac and light it up with a neon light to find any leaks,, they will show you first hand where its leaking as the dye comes out.

I really don't know where to check it at because I really don't know the inside of the car. I'm not very experienced or have the knowledge of the inside of the car.

compressor shopuld be front right passanger side of car ahead of the belts towards bottom of engine below the alternator.

To see if you are rpm spiking sit in car wait for it to warm up and idle down then look at your rpm gauge as you turn on your ac...if gauge goes up then back down and levels back out and you dont here any EXTRA sounds from your engine bay your compressor is engaging.

As far as the previous maintenance goes only you would know if it was done, are you the first owner? if not when did you buy the car?

I am the third owner and I would have to look at the maintenance sheet I got from the dealer. I got it back in the beginning of March of this year.

I just idled my car for about a minute. And then I turned the fan and adjusted it for feet and fans and then fans on for the a/c and the rpm didn't move.

Ok I actually did it one more time and it did stagger so the compressor is kicking on.
