View Full Version : Engine replacment, Starts, then full throtles

I have a 93 2L V6 tt VR4

Old engine blew. fitted replacment one connected everything where it looks like it would go.. but i havent got all vaccum pipes in correct places, (a diagram 4 thiswould be helpful) and i also think the wiring is in correct places,
but when i turn it over it took awhile to pick up and when it did it opened right up and went full throtle blew off intercooler pipes, Flaming out exaust and backfireing... Disconnected battery, still going, pulled out spark leads and it was still going .. stoped after awhile.. havent started it since. Please some1 help

Does it have cruise control? I did this on my 8g and had the cruise control vacuum line hooked up wrong. Every time I started it, it went full throttle without me touching the gas. Also make sure you don't have tension on your throttle cable. Common mistake is to route the cable wrong where it will do this. Hope that helps.
