Too dark for my taste...
We'll know if they turned out ok when you provide us with a pic of them light up so we know if they have been evenly sprayed!

Took the G to the strip a few days ago. my best time was a 15.84 at 88mph. I'm sure I can run a little quicker if the track was a little warmer, cause My ETs were getting slower as the track cooled down. shooting for 15.7s next time!!

My cousins Mustang that we worked hard all summer to get ready. the Ran a 11.04 at... 107mph all motor. he ran out of gear about the 1/8 and he had the the rev limiter only set at 6300rpm when the motor is built for 8000rpm. So with a 4.56 gear and a 7800 rev limiter, we should she 10.20s easy.

Little update, Haven't done anything over the winter, because of the money situation. But I recently got hired on to a company where I will be making much more than I was. So updates very soon.

congrats on the new job and more moola. If you add some coilovers and polyurethane motor mount inserts it will help you down the drag strip plus make the car look better.

The vendor JM Auto Racing has BC coilovers and D2 coilovers for a good price

Its been a while, but I recently got a hold of a LOW mileage 6G75. I couldn't be more happy right now. Time to let the fun begin.

Time to start my 6G75 build...... finally.... lol

Removed the heads and found this in the walls. You can tell the motor does not have many miles on it.
http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i336/Jerry_Arnold/101_0009_zps9b99f1bc.jpg (http://s1088.photobucket.com/user/Jerry_Arnold/media/101_0009_zps9b99f1bc.jpg.html)
There was some surface rust, so I sanded down the block and painted it in a high temp ceramic paint.
http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i336/Jerry_Arnold/Galant/101_0005_zps71c39cf7.jpg (http://s1088.photobucket.com/user/Jerry_Arnold/media/Galant/101_0005_zps71c39cf7.jpg.html)
(Note there is some oil because I painted the side before I took of the heads)
http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i336/Jerry_Arnold/Galant/101_0003_zps6fac0df2.jpg (http://s1088.photobucket.com/user/Jerry_Arnold/media/Galant/101_0003_zps6fac0df2.jpg.html)
I actually love that Mitsu stamped the engine code on the pistons.

Endeavor motor I see. Do you plan on using a different set of cams? Those endeavor cams are a 240/248 duration. A worthy choice for stock cams would be some 248/256 cams out of a Galant 3.8 or Eclipse GTS.

Neo8G
04-14-2014, 04:08 PM
I'll probably go with the Galant 3.8 cams. I would love to get a set of some PRW cams, they are way to much out of my price range right now.

I've finally have some time to actually work on my XG350 intake manifold project.
I've been practicing my porting lately, so i decided to try my hand with the runners on the manifold. Don't mind the carbon build up deep inside the runners. Still need a longer sanding bit so I can clean them up.
http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i336/Jerry_Arnold/Portedmani_zps51d40f34.jpg (http://s1088.photobucket.com/user/Jerry_Arnold/media/Portedmani_zps51d40f34.jpg.html)
http://i1088.photobucket.com/albums/i336/Jerry_Arnold/101_0017_zps876ae9b1.jpg[/aURL]

The XG350 manifold has valves inside it that open up when you reach a certain RPM. I decided to delete those because I felt they were not needed for my application.

Going to have to make an actuator delete plate.

I just need to finish cleaning up the last section so I can polish everything and make it look nice.
