If you want realistic flames buy a 5 gallon container of gasoline and throw it around the car, then light it... It should do the trick.

Guys how about being positive for once? He wants flames on a show car. To me, the means more points for the exterior because of the special paint job.

Only concern I think you have is washing the car. Hopefully that doesn't damage you paint. Post pics when your done. Good luck.

to each is own i do alot of car shows my galant is a show car and im building my second galant for shows as well ive seen my fair share of airbrushed cars but let me tell you IMHO from a street point of view as well as a show point of view flames are played out bro if u can try to change for him to air brush something else something with meaning to you trust me cleaner is better for shows now BUT IF YOU HAVE TO DO FLAMES might i suggest ghost flames nothing TOO noticeable but with the right lighting/angle it pops out heres some examples of some air brushed cars in my area

MOD= Mitsubishi Owners Day
The one in SoCal was in July, and there's one in Normal, Illinois; and one called East Coast MOD as well.

I have a airbrushed Car (lower half metal plate, trunk NC outline. )there isn't any thing to be concerned about if it is clear coated properly. Steer away from airbrushers who rely heavily on stencils cuz the quality is lower in my opinion.

I like the airbrushing idea... Personally I wouldn't do flames, but isn't the entire point of CUSTOM cars to make them CUSTOM to what the owner wants?

damn, those air brush examples are horrible. check this youtube out and they did way better with rattle cans.
