Short answer... USDM regulations; that's why. Not sure if the triton is our raider, but failed miserably over here anyway.

Wow no wonder why the raider was such a flop over here. It had a damn chrysler engine in it the entire time. No wonder the 3.7L only made the same power as our 3.0L (back in 99 even).

Why is mitsubishi full of fail lately???

It's a shame the Pentastar 3.6L DOHC V6 never made its way into the Raider. That motor saved Chrysler's ass...or one of the things that did.
