So I'm looking at this (http://thmotorsports.com/injen/injen_air_intake_sp_series_intake_system/sp1870p/i-146283.aspx) injen intake for my auto 9g, but have seen on different sites that this setup is for manual transmissions only. According to this (https://www.thegalantcenter.org/showthread.php?45908-CAI-Question&highlight=manual+auto+intake) thread, it's due to a fitment issue.

Anyone have this intake and/or experience in installing an intake meant for a manual transmission onto an automatic?

Thanks in advance!

I have an Injen intake myself and its the full CAI system and from what I remember it was for a manual transmission and it fit perfectly fine. Didnt have one issue

According to everybody you also have to watch if it's for a V6 engine or 4 cyl. Although I have no idea if a V6 intake can fit on a 4 cyl or vice versa, I'd go with whatever engine you have to be safe. I'm only saying this because I've found V6 CAI's are way cheaper than 4 cyl and in a biger variety.
