17" 215/45/17 or 225/45/17?????

which is a better for my car which is stock 215/45/17 or 225/45/17 .i would like to knwo because i dont want my rims to get hurt and i want a nice smooth ride.. any help would be great..

I have 215/45/17 on my car, but the next time I get tires I will get 225/45/17....just for more tire on the road. But either one will work.

ditto. this is the minimum recommended combination for 17's as far as i know

225-45/17 is the best size for a 17inch wheel.

215-45/17 or 215-50/17 are acceptable sizes.
