Some may know about my Galant project I had been working on for quite a while (like 3 years lol). January of 2012 I bought myself a 2003 Eclipse GT, needless to say the Galant was parted out mostly and some parts transfered over to the Eclipse. When I bought the car it already had an AEM cold air intake installed, some drilled & slotted rotors, and a Ralco short shifter. I have been keeping the vehicle as a daily driver to commute to and from work mostly, but I have started slowly going through a few modifications one step at a time over the last year with more coming.
From the start;

Had a free hyrdo-dip kit and did a couple other parts, used left over material to do the interior door panel trims.

Removed the Ralco shifter and installed my own shifter, yes it is short, dont care if you like it or hate it...works great for me;

Installed AEM wideband for all of my tuning. Initially I installed the gauge in the driver side vent, drove home from work and could barely see it and said to myself "nice placement dumbass" lol. Moved it to the center vent and much easier to glance at;

Pulled the wheels and Brembo setup off the Galant and installed onto the Eclipse;

Tucked the injector harness and throttle cable so it was no longer running across the intake manifold;

Relocated the coolant overflow tank to below passenger side headlight;

My front bumper needed to be repainted at some point, or replaced. I saw a couple photos of other 03+ Eclipse models with this done and had been going back and forth on it for a month or so. Decided to do it and mimic the new Mitsubishi generation look to the front end. Just sprayed it with bedliner sine I scrape the front underside of the bumper and the whole thing was being replaced or repainted anyways.

Started to pull stuff out of the car and lose some weight. I still have things left to finish removing;

During the weight loss project and having the seats out I started looking at them a bit closer and found the seat frames actually had a deep bucket, only filled with massive amounts of foam. So, bored day at work I decided to modify the OEM seats to fit more like a bucket seat. I ended up removing about 2" thick section of foam from the seat cushion, You don't notice it with the seat cover back in place, but you certainly notice and feel it sitting down into the seat;

Went to the junkyard searching for a new motor mount (ha, that shit never breaks right >_> ), ending up passing by a Kia Sedona minivan, curiously I popped off the engine cover and found the 3.5L variable intake manifold. Snagged the manifold and tore it all apart, gutted and resealed it. So far it has been proving to be worth the inexpensive cost and showing some nice gains in the torque and top end power.
