Loose Shifter Knob

Hi all,

My shifter knob seems kinda loose. I can move it right and left a little bit. Is it supposed to be like this?

Seems that way. Mine moves just like that, no problems with it though.

It appears it has a bit more play than mine. I wouldn't worry about it as long as it shifts fine.

Luckily, I don't have any problems with shifting. Just wish it had that tightly held together feeling from the knob.

I have been working on addressing all squeaks and rattles in the car. Maybe I can put some felt tape where the shifter meets the plastic base.
