Engine to Transmission

just put a new motor in and i took the "engine out,transmission still in" route, just wanted to know if there are any specifics when connecting the driveplate to the torque converter.

I know you don't used the 4 bolts to force them together, but is there anything else,my haynes guide said something about marking the position but i skipped that step.

basically just need to know when bolting the drive-plate to torque converter is there a specific way it's suppose to line up, haynes guide said something about marking the alignment but then the marks would be on the old engine instead of the new one.i just rather be safe then sorry

I've swapped a few auto trannys on the 8G and not once did I mark them. No problems whatsoever.
